A close friend of Prince Harry claims that King Charles is ignoring his son, who is reportedly eager to speak with him.

Harry, often seen as a “thorn in the king’s side,” has committed a “cardinal sin.”

As a result, the king is dismissing Harry’s “genuine concerns” for his family’s safety, leaving calls from his youngest son “unanswered.”

Since the release of Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir “Spare” in 2023, his relationship with the royal family has grown increasingly strained.

However, in February 2024, there was a brief moment of hope when the Duke of Sussex visited King Charles following his cancer diagnosis.

“Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that,” Harry discussed his visit with Good Morning America.

But when Harry, 39, returned to the U.K. in May for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, his father was absent. A spokesperson attributed the king’s absence to a “full schedule.”

However, sources suggest there may be more to it than just a busy calendar.

In a recent interview with “Tabloids on Trial”, an ITV documentary about suing British media companies, particularly Mirror Group Newspapers, Harry expressed his concerns for the safety of Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet, due to past threats in the U.K.

“It’s still dangerous, and all it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff to act on what they have read,” Harry explained. “And whether it’s a knife or acid, these are things that are genuine concerns for me. It’s one of the reasons why I won’t bring my wife back to this country.”

After the Sussexes stepped back from their roles as working royals in 2020, the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (RAVEC) removed their entitlement to U.K. police security.

Even though Harry offered to personally cover the costs of security, a high court judge rejected his request.

“The U.K. is my home. The U.K. is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home as much as where they live at the moment in the United States,” Harry stated. “That cannot happen if there is no possibility to keep them safe when they are on U.K. soil.”

“I can’t put my wife in danger like that, and given my experiences in life, I’m reluctant to unnecessarily put myself in harm’s way too,” he continued.

Harry believes that the only person who can reinstate his security detail in the U.K. is King Charles.

“Harry is frightened and feels the only person who can do anything about it is his father,” a royal insider revealed. However, according to “People”, the notion that his father has any influence over his security is “wholly inaccurate.”

Desperately trying to contact his father to influence the security process, a friend of Prince Harry claims that whenever he calls, he hears “He’s ‘unavailable right now.’”

“His calls go unanswered. He has tried to reach out about the king’s health, but those calls go unanswered too.”

And his father’s silence serves as a painful reminder of the “cardinal sin” he committed, according to a royal expert.

Royal insider Christopher Andersen explains that King Charles is deeply displeased with Harry for describing Queen Camilla as “wicked” in his book Spare.

“When Harry branded his stepmother Camilla a ‘villain’ in his book and revealed that both he and William initially begged their father not to marry her, Harry committed what Charles regards as a cardinal sin,” Andersen notes. “No one disses Camilla in royal circles and gets away with it, not even a son of the king.”

“I think Charles could forgive Harry for some of the trouble he’s caused, including bailing on the monarchy, slamming his brother William for bullying behavior and suing for royal protection when visiting the U.K.,” Andersen added. “But Charles is having a hard time forgiving Harry for taking what he sees as gratuitous potshots at his beloved Queen Camilla.”

Meanwhile, the prince’s friend mentions that if the security issue is resolved, “it’s ‘swords down.’”

Nothing “would bring [Harry] more joy than being able to restore his relationship with his father,” the unnamed friend adds. “At the end of the day, you can’t undo bloodlines. He’s not asking his dad for a nicer house or nicer cars. He’s asking because of the reality of the situation. He is at risk.”

However, suggesting that Harry’s memoir and candid media interviews have damaged the family’s trust, Andersen notes, “This still remains a thorn on the king’s side.”
