Shelley Duvall, the legendary actress famous for her role as Wendy Torrance in The Shining and her notable collaborations with director Robert Altman, has passed away at the age of 75.

Her death was confirmed by her longtime partner, Dan Gilroy, to the Hollywood Reporter, stating that she peacefully died in her sleep due to complications from diabetes.

“My dear, sweet, wonderful life partner and friend left us,” Gilroy expressed in a statement. “Too much suffering lately, now she’s free. Fly away, beautiful Shelley.”

With her large expressive eyes, radiant smile, and versatile acting talents, Duvall left a lasting mark on some of the most renowned Hollywood films of all time.
