Queen Camilla has stepped into a significant role as her husband, King Charles, undergoes treatment for cancer. The couple recently celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary, and many hope they will enjoy many more years together.

Camilla, formerly Parker-Bowles, has had a tumultuous journey within the royal family. Once viewed as the “mistress” of the future king and facing criticism from parts of the royal fanbase, she has since become a beloved member of the royal family, fully embracing her responsibilities to the Crown.

While King Charles has faced health challenges over the years, details about Queen Camilla’s health are less known. Although she has contracted Covid twice and was reportedly dealing with a broken toe when Queen Elizabeth II passed away, Camilla has had her share of hospital visits. In one instance, she fell into a hole in Scotland and was later found by locals.

Camilla Carried Out Duties Despite Broken Toe and “Quite a Lot of Pain”

Before Queen Elizabeth’s passing, Queen Camilla suffered a broken toe but remained steadfast in fulfilling her royal responsibilities, despite being in significant pain. According to “The Telegraph”, a source shared, “She is in quite a lot of pain, but she is just getting on with it. It is unfortunate timing, to say the least, but she’s been an absolute trouper.”

A spokesperson for King Charles commented, “We won’t comment on medical conditions.”

While one might not be as impressed if the duties only involved sitting, Camilla’s responsibilities required her to stand for extended periods, including at official ceremonies and during engagements with the public outside the palace. Her commitment to carrying out these duties while enduring pain is certainly worthy of recognition.
