A little girl approached her mom and asked, “Mom, can I take the dog for a walk around the block?” The mom replied, “No, you can’t. The dog is in heat.”
“What does that mean?” the child inquired.
“Why don’t you go ask your father? I believe he’s in the garage,” her mom suggested.
The little girl then went to the garage and asked, “Dad, can I take Susie for a walk around the block? I asked Mom, but she said Susie is in heat and told me to come talk to you.”
“Bring Susie over here,” Dad responded.
He grabbed a rag, soaked it in gasoline, and cleaned the dog’s rear end with it. “Alright, you can go now, but make sure to keep Susie on a leash and only walk around the block once,” he instructed.
The little girl set off but returned a few minutes later without the dog on the leash.
“Where’s Susie?” Dad asked.
The little girl replied, “She’ll be back in a minute. She ran out of gas halfway down the block, and another dog is helping her get home.”
